Mr Eyre were absent today so me and Erna had our free periods this morning. As for Nabilah and Aini, their teacher had to go for a talk, so they didnt have class either. and Hani has her free every Monday morning, and the five of us took photossss together in Aini and Erna's room. hehe. random photos though:p
We heard that Shing Ping has got lots of homework to do so we didnt ask her to join us. but then when it was nearly time for class (about 9.40am), we asked her to come so we can take a complete group photo of the Lower Sixth Bruneians. the photo is still in Erna's camera.. so i will upload next time la:p

I would have to dress up nicely in red alone if they didnt wanna join me. And I would have celebrated Chinese New Year alone, feeling empty if they didnt do all those stuff. Knowing that I will be going back this easter holiday sure helps to reduce the amount of tears drop caused by the emptiness in chinese new year. and because of the storm and heavy rain, I couldnt talk to my family for too long.
But at least I've grown stronger. + I have got my angpaos through internet banking (without red packet though..) and will get my 'ya sui qian' when I go back this March. and also, mamakim has bought me food which she will cook for me when i go back this March. hehehe. I will just treat that as a belated reunion dinner then. Hopefully I can have it with all the rest of my family member =)
I miss cucur pisang and cucur cempedak. and also KETAM!!! haha. I said this to my friends "if I were to grow fatter when I come back to Salisbury, dont laugh or tagur me" haha. Coz im gonna eat and eat and eat and eat when I go back this March. *cant wait* hehehe. and Ili said we can go to eat Murtabak together when we go back, with JIASIAN driving us there. haha

Erna, Aini, Nabilah and I just stayed in our room on Sunday. Well I had low blood pressure again in the morning. (because i didnt have enough sleep) slept quite late at night, then had to wake up for brunch- the best meal of the week. Anyway, me and nabilah did our homework after that until I got a bit tired and wanted to walk around to have some fresh air. So i went to Erna and Aini's room, and erna suggested of helping Nabilah to put on make up. Hehe. I got excited and ran alllllllll the way to my room (which is next door. haha) and called nabilah. hehe. sakai wa.
and then Erna helped nabilah to put on make up on the left side of her face, while i do the right. haha. Well I have never seen anyone make up-ing before, not to mention using it myself, so I just put whatever I see there onto Nabilah's face. hehehe. the outcome was funny. hehehe. photos will be uploaded next time:p
Monday and Tuesday were just like other days.. nothing really special..
My luck isnt very good today.. I dont wanna post about the first reason as it's kinda mean to do that, but i have told my family about it. hehe. The second reason is that when i ate my 'speed breakfast' this morning (my kuih) i found out that it has gone mouldy. and I only realise that after I put the food into my mouth.
Then when I was having my proper breakfast, I bite my tongue. It bled(duh)!! and a small part of it was peeled off. sakit!!!!
thanks goodness things went alright after that. hehe. We had an interview for our voluntory work in the hospital. It was alright. well it isnt those serious interviews.. hehe. they just wanna mke sure that we have got injections that we are supposed to have, and that we know what we should and shouldnt do.
AND THEN.... THE BEST THING WHICH HAPPENED TODAY IS...
I HAVE GOT MY OWN VIOLIN!!! whee~~ finally. hehe

well i only know you when i got to form four. and u r one of the handal-ans in our class. But i didnt know much about u as we rarely talk (really?) sal aku maluuuu kan cakap sama orang yg englishnya handal-handal. hahaha. why am i typing in malay..? anyway, we talked a little bit more when we were in form five because u sat in front of me.. and on my birthday, u made me a card (im not sure if u remember or not. haha) on that card u said "happy 15th birthday wan shin. and thanks for the limau" hahaha. which u obviously made it on the exact day. haha. (oh amy drew me a valentine card too. which she used the left over paper that she had after she cut off the BM's paper kali. i still keep it btw, its somewhere in my room. i mean in brunei) haha.
and we were the only stprians in our maths class in form six. which Nadia warned me that she will not ask questions for me. hahaha. which she did at the end. hohohoh. but im reeeeeeeally grateful about that. haha. so... thank youuu=) i miss sitting in Maths class with you, listening to the chicken, talking about all sort of stuff. hahaha.

Anyway, why is the room dark again? BECAUSE THE BULB FELL DOWN. pffftt. When i was going to switch on the light yesterday, the bulb suddenly fell off and broke. to top that off, my table lamp is also not working. Is my golden touch which destroys electrical appliances working again? aiyaaaaaaaa
I didnt have C3 just now because Mrs. Healey was still absent. I heard that she fell down from a horse few days ago.. She is a really nice teacher so I hope she will be alright. Well not that if she isnt nice I won't hope she will be alright pulang. I will still.
Me and Erna went to the kitchen to make ourselves something to eat just now. hehe. and I totally forgot that I have got seminar society after that.. hehehe. I stayed in the kitchen with Erna until about.. 4.10? then Aini came in and asked if I will be going for the meeting or not. Then we ran there, and were late for about 5 minutes!!

Both C1 and C2 were alright, but for physics... I am not sure. Well I got the same answer as some of my classmates though. but then they are not sure as well. + we all made mistakes in the theories as my teacher didnt teach us that part. Well I saw arah my textbook but i was like... "oh, he didnt teach us this and i didnt see them in the past year questions that i did so... shouldnt be included la" and skipped that page. AHHHHHH!!!
Ok, we cant change it now anyway... Next time just read the whole textbook to be on the safe side. pffftt.
I haven't used friendster for a long time. have been using facebook. Now im one of those people who 'dumped' friendster for facebook lah tu. NOOOO~ haha apakan?
65 more days. Brunei is 65 days away from me at the moment. wait, actually 66 days + flight. Thats so long. and I can imagine myself, waiting impatiently and waving to my parents while those people in the airport checking my luggage.
Things I will (well i hope i will) do when i reach brunei (in order):
1) Go home (obviously)
2) Pray (i havent prayed eversince I left Brunei!! its not that I dont want to, its because I cant!)

then i set another alarm at 8.15am, after that was 8.30am. I woke up at 8.38am at the end. hehe. overslept by 8 minutes. Surprisingly, i dreamt in that 8 minutes. I dreamt of school. I dreamt that lots of my friend from STPRI, PTEB and The Godolphin School went to study in Chung Hwa. And there were very few of my ex-classmates in Chung Hwa there. It was a very confusing dream...
Anyway, Nabilah and I went to Chinatown to have our lunch at around 12nn, after posting their package back to school. Then we went back to Brunei Hall to put the stuff that Ah Choon koko asked me to get for her from China Town and also my bag.
We had a hard time trying to find our way to Hyde Park. we wanted to go there as there were a fair called "Winter Wonderland" there. We planned to used one of the Underground tubes, but it was full. thats why we had to change to another tube line and walk from a place named GREEN PARK to HYDE PARK. along the way, we saw people on strike. No, of course we didnt join them la.
We rode on Ferris wheel when we just arrived, then played the maze thing. Then after that started buying stuff. haha.
Thats all la. malaskan type. i will be going back to school soon!!

like what my previous blog post said (incase you don't read it as its too long) "I WILL NOT CRY even if i can't spend my first day of new year with my family." it is not good to cry on the first day.
I went bowling just now. Hehe. It was fun:) Its already 1.05am here. Everyone else except for me had already fallen asleep. I am still very excited because I got to go online.
I wonder how many people will actually read my previous blog. I meant the whole post, and not just a few lines. haha

I went to an ASEAN STORE called Wing Yip co this afternoon. That place is like heaven to me. Well.. ANY ASEAN store is like heaven for me right now. ANY, really. I spent £31+ (≈ B$75) there. Haizz. I know, it’s a lot (for someone like me) but I just cant help it. I need ASEAN food. I bought satay sauce, soya bean, vitasoy, tau fu fa’s powder, herbal chicken’s powder, kuih lapis’s flour, beras wangi, ba kua, ABC sweet soy sauce and so on. If you are thinking that I can cook, you are wrong. Hehe. Actually I can, but only those simple ones like fried noodle, instant noodle, eggs, rice and so on. I BAKE, I don’t normally COOK. Hehe. But I have to start learning how to cook. Bit by bit and someday I will be a pro (we can always dream, can’t we?). Hehe. I never try frying noodle with bawang and meat until I come here.
Oh, speaking of meat, it’s really hard to get HALAL meat here. Not that I can’t eat haram food, but then I really pity my friends who can’t. The food for vegetarian doesn’t seem to be very nice, especially for someone who is carnivorous like ME. We are lucky enough to have something called QUORN which tastes like meat but it’s actually vg. I have started eating them too! Hehe. It contains lower fat and cholesterol and so, is good for our health. This also enables my friends to share with me when I’m eating. Hehe. Like what people says, “sharing is caring” :)
I’m kinda blank about what to post now… It’s already 2.17AM and I haven’t slept yet. Hehe. Was watching cooking master boy just now. hehe. Just finished Vampire Knight (Zero is sooooooooooo handsoooooomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee) last night. Hehe Im referring to the episodes that I have:p ANIME<333333333333333333

I had to wake up early today as I had to go to the church to watch Anisa(my cousin) doing her carol service(it is when the students go to the church to sing hymns). Hehe. I woke up at around 8.40am, got ready, and followed choon ko there. After that we went to do some shopping. I bought a second-hand jacket for winter for £6.50 (≈B$16.25), junior’s scrabble for £0.50 (≈B$1.25), Pictionary for £2.50 (≈B$6.25). hehe.
And then had lunch, practiced violin for a while (still very bad at it…), did my holiday homework and showered. Anisa and Yasmeen had their ugama lesson at 5.30pm, so Choon Koko said she will bring me to HobbyCraft after sending them. I only bought some cross stitch stuff. Hehe.
And today is TEYTEY(Godfather) AND INTAN’S BIRTHDAY!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ALL! Hehe. Actually I’m very disappointed. I normally get to celebrate teytey’s birthday with him every year.. I bought him something though, because Hani, Wani and Nadi went back to Brunei. I passed teytey’s birthday present to Hani, and papa collected it from her. Who knows, he had bought the exact same thing as what I bought him when he went to Hong Kong few weeks ago…
Today’s post is kinda boring, because I don’t know what to post about. I posted it specially to greet teytey and intan.. Otherwise I wouldn’t have blogged about this. hehe.

Woke up early again this morning, because Choon Ko said she had to buy one more stuff for a Christmas present. Hehe. Last minute Christmas shopping:p and she brought me to get the stuff that I need. I spent a loooooooot today. Sadly:( Too lazy to list out the stuff that I bought. Hehe.
After shopping for 5 HOURS, I was too tired to do my work so I decided to give myself a break. I have only been doing my C1 and C2 work in the past few days. That’s because we got a stack of past year papers from EACH of our teachers.
I called Pei Ling at around 5.50pm, and talked to her for an hour. Hehehe. And it only cost £4.41 (≈B$11.03) thanks to talkmobile(a mobile network here). Hehe. It will cost around £30 (≈B$75) if I were to call it using my O2 line. Hehehe. We have got a lot to talk about.. because we haven’t met for how many months, days, hours, minutes, seconds, milliseconds…….. *sigh* and I can only call her occasionally since I have to save $$ too. Hehe.
Come to think of it, I have left Brunei for 112 days, and I will most likely to be back in 201 days time. That is TOOOOO LONG! I CANT WAIT! I already told mama that I wanna drink taoki soup the first day I reach Brunei:D and I told Pei Ling that if I am not too tired (which I don’t think I will be after breathing in some Brunei air and seeing my family- I will probably RUN all my way out from the airport. Haha), I will follow ah hock susu(Pei Ling’s dad) to pick Pei Ling up from PTEM (Pusat Tingkatan Enam MERAGANG) and the two of us will do what couples do in movies when they finally meet each other after separating for a long period of time- run towards each other and hug. Haha. And then she will tour me around PTEM:)
I also listed out the restaurants that I wanna go to when I go back: Thiam Hock, Lucky Restaurant, Golden Leaf, Emperor’s court, Excapade…. But I also want to eat at home. *drools* oh and also low san flat’s nasi lemak. Eat all I want before I have to come back here and eat the expensive and not so nyaman nasi lemak at £5 (≈B$12.50) PER PLATE.

After we sent Anisa and Yasmeen for their ugama class, Ah Choon Koko brought me to jalanjalan around peacock centre. She got me a bracelet that I have longed for in Argos which cost £13 (≈B$32.50). She said it’s for my Christmas present. Hehe. I didn’t buy that bracelet because I thought I should save my money for other purposes, and told her that I don’t want to try the bracelet on or I will be tempted to buy it. But she insisted on asking the salesgirl to take it out for me to try, while telling me that she will stop me if I wanna buy. Hehe. After trying, she told me that she will buy for me as my Christmas present. Hehehe.
And when we got home, she asked me to cut some heart out of the present paper for her to write the labels on each Christmas present that she bought for Uncle Atta(her husband)’s relatives which we will be visiting this Sunday. (They will be bringing me along to Manchester to visit them.) After that she asked me to make a paper bag for presents like what I did for the presents I bought for Anisa and Yasmeen. I wasn’t thinking that much at that time, I just did as she told and after I have finished, she gave me the bracelet that we bought just now, and asked me to put it into the bag that I made. Hahaha. We all laughed at that time, because I had to wrap the present that will be given to me in the end. Haha. Uncle Atta said I must act surprised when I got the bracelet. Hahaha.
Another funny thing which happened just now (it might not be funny for you unless you were there) was that when she was writing the labels for Yasmeen (her daughter)’s present, she wrote “For Yasmeen, from Atta & family” haha. And she didn’t realize it until I told her. Haha.
I asked for the recipe for the spaghetti that she cooked just now, because she said it’s very easy to cook it. And I wanna learn how to cook simple stuff.
Oh! and one more thing! Its 12 degree Celsius today!!! Its usually 3-5 degree Celsius in Woking.. This makes me so happy that I took a picture of the temperature:p hehe

I followed choon koko to NEXT (a boutique here) this afternoon to try on the clothes that we like, to check the sizes. This is because that we won’t be able to try on the clothes when we buy on Boxing Day, where there will be grand sales. It’s not that we can’t try, its just that it will be very hard to try as there will be looooooooooots of people, which means, long queue for the fitting room.
After that I walked to the post office to post cards, and to co-ops to get some cherry tomatoes for ah choon koko. And I decided to top up my talkmobile line (which I use to call back to Brunei). But because talkmobile isn’t a popular mobile network, I had a hard time trying to explain to the cashier. Below is the conversation:
Me: Excuse me, can I top up for my talkmobile line please?
Cashier: Ok, do you have cash? (I think we can’t use debit/credit card to pay for top-ups)
Me: Yes.
Cashier: Ok, what network is it?
Me: Talkmobile.
Cashier: Sorry?
Me: Talkmobile. T-A-L-K-mobile.
Cashier: Oh okay.
[she printed off the receipt- once they have printed the receipt, the top up cannot be cancelled anymore]
Cashier: Can you check if this is the right one?
Me: [read the receipt, it says ‘talktalk’ and not ‘talkmobile’] Errr… I don’t think so, because I have topped up here before, and it said talkmobile on the receipt and not talktalk…
Cashier: [talking to the other cashier] can you call the ________?(I don’t remember what her position is, but it’s somebody of a higher rank, S.O.A.H.R.)
S.O.A.H.R.: “What’s the matter?”
Cashier: She wants to top up talkmobile and I gave her talktalk. She said it isn’t the one she wanted. Can you please check for me?
S.O.A.H.R.: [checking the electronic thing for topping up, it shows the mobile networks, and she found talkmobile]
Cashier: Oh okay… [Printed another receipt for me]
Me: Thank you. [was about to leave when S.O.A.H.R. came]
S.O.A.H.R.: [talking to the cashier] I have fixed this, but watch what you are doing next time.
I am not sure why talkmobile isn’t popular.. Maybe because it’s signal isn’t very good gua… After gotten some rest, we had to send Anisa and Yasmeen to their ugama school again. And we went to Waitrose and Morrison while waiting for them. I got some biscuits for my breakfast in school, corned beef, salmon paste, tuna and mayonnaise paste, chicken and ham paste and 2 cup noodles.
Uncle Atta, Choon Koko and I had a conversation about my flight back to Brunei when we were having dinner. I said I can’t wait to go back to Brunei. And he said he thinks that I won’t cry when I come back here next year because of the freedom that I will be getting. I told him that I will DEFINITELY cry (but I don’t care, I NEED TO GO BACK TO BRUNEI) and I don’t really like to be free. Its not that I don’t like freedom, I do. But not too much of it, I like to be under the control, or maybe I should say supervision(not that it makes much difference) of my parents and godparents. I feel more secure like that. I feel myself being loved, being cared, being pampered and all. Hehe. I still feel loved and cared here though, but the security is just not there…
Okay, I am going to watch anime now. Hehe. Bo mood blog liao. Hehe. Am watching Muteki Kanban Musume at the moment:)

We came to Manchester to visit Uncle Atta’s aunts. Live in Aunty Ghazala’s house first, and we will be moving to Aunty Farzana’s house on the 25th December. First day was so-so, because I don’t know much about them yet. Played a game called Frustration (something like Ludo) and coin game with Anisa, Yasmeen and Uncle John (Aunty Ghazala’s husband), then Aunty Ghazala showed us around the old houses, church and shops.
I wasn’t really close with them until we started learning how to knit at night. I have been looking for those easy-to-understand cheap knitting guide for a while, but couldn’t find something which match all the requirements. So I was extremely thrilled when I found out that Aunty Ghazala knows how to knit. And she taught us immediately that night. She is a very nice and patient woman, I learned how to read knitting patterns, cast on n cast off, knit and purls, change colours and stuff like that. She also bought me some double-knitting wools, gave me the knitting needle, row marker and stuff that I need for knitting.
Their youngest son came along with his dog, Daisy on Christmas Eve. I panicked when it came in, because I am scared of dogs even though I like them. Daisy jumped on me, tried to lick me but I sort of blocked it with a cushion. After that, I followed Uncle John to walk Daisy around the neighbourhood and slowly, I was able to get near to Daisy. Hehe. She is reallllllly cute and fluffy, just like soft toys.
Christmas Eve was pretty busy, Aunty Ghazala had to prepare the turkey and other dishes for Christmas dinner, while the rest of us helped to peel and cut the vegetables.

Its Christmas! And also Erna’s Birthday! First, I would like to say… *ahem ahem*
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ERNA!!! YOU ARE LEGAL TO GET A DRIVING LICENSE NOW (even though you have to wait till we go back to Brunei:p)
W e will be leaving Aunty Ghazala and Uncle John’s house after Christmas today… It is kinda saddening because the two of them have been really nice to us.
Christmas dinner was alright, I was forced to eat some vegetables, so I took ONE Brussels sprout, ONE slice of carrot and TWO parsnip (they taste like sweet potato:p).

I had to wake up at 6.30am today because its boxing day, and there will be grand sales in most of the shops. No, we are not that crazy that we actually went shopping that early. Its just that I had to use the toilet and I went back to sleep after that. Ah choon koko woke me up for breakfast at 8.20am, which is when she got ready too. We left Aunty Farzana’s house at around 9am, and shopped until 3.30pm in the afternoon. SIX AND A HALF HOURS OF SHOPPING!
I went to shower after we came back, and had a short nap before dinner. There was a blackout when I just started lying down, and I wasn’t sure what to do, so I just went downstairs and cancelled my plan to sleep. It feels kinda different… Normally when there is a power cut in Brunei, you will hear air-conditioners shutting down (the noise just goes off), but it isn’t the same here, because people just don’t need air-conditioners here… Anyway, Ah choon koko saw me downstairs and asked me to go back to sleep. Hehe.
I did my revision after dinner.. and have to sleep early tonight, because we will have to wake up early again tomorrow to do some more shopping.

I woke up at 6.30am again today for the same reason as yesterday. But this time we left home later than yesterday as Anisa and Yasmeen followed us to shop today. We left the house at around 10am and went back at around 6pm.
I got myself a long sleeve t-shirt at £5 (≈B$12.50) which cost £12 (≈B$30) before discount, and a three quarter pants for summer at £6 (≈B$15) which cost £18 (≈B$45) before discount. After having lunch, we went to Manchester United Store where I got some souvenirs for my family. Hehe.
28th December 2008
Woke up at 9.15am today. We went to the graveyard to put some flowers on Uncle Atta’s grandparents’ tombstone. Spent quite a while there because they couldn’t find the location of the tombstones… After that we went to Aunty Ghazala and Uncle John’s house to get Uncle Atta’s camera which he left there. Aunty Ghazala made some pancakes with banana and chocolate +ice cream for us. Hehe. She said it’s a treat for ourselves, so don’t care about the amount of fats in it:p
Then we went to watch Madagascar- Escape to Africa at Cineworld with Aunty Ghazala. Uncle John didn’t wanna follow as he wants to watch the football match on tv. The movie was great! It’s the first movie that I watch in cinema after I came here. Some of the godolphinians went to the cinema last time but I didn’t join them. Don’t remember the reason but it is most likely that it is because I wanted to save money. Hahaha.
My blog has been kinda random lately, and boring. Because I am usually blogging in a rush as I wanna do my revision after I blog. Can’t blog about this when I go back to school because I will probably forget what I did- getting older and older…

186 more days to go back to Brunei. It’s NEW YEAR EVE!! This is the first time I have ever celebrated new year eve without my family. No, it doesn’t feel very good. *Pffftt* It’s probably better for me to stop saying stuff like “it’s the first time I ever celebrated something without my family…”
Let’s think positively. I can call back to Brunei and wish them Happy New Year at 12am. This will, hopefully, makes me feel home. And feel as if my family members are right beside me. I have to start thinking like this very often now because I am going to miss a loooooot of special occasions that I won’t be able to celebrate with my family like I normally do.
Now, STOP THINKING NEGATIVELY! It will be hard for a pessimist like me but at least I am making a start, RIGHT?! Hehe. And I have to make sure that I will enjoy the special occasions here like I always do in Brunei and not to cry because nobody will like to see it. Especially when crying on the first day of New Year is not good for your luck for the whole new year. (it is also good to be pantang sometimes hehe)
Ohya! Another good thing about new year! Heheheh. After today, I won’t be saying “I will only go back next year.” Instead, I can say “I will go back this year!” Yay!
Anisa asked me that day, “why do you always add ‘hehe’ or ‘haha’ to your message?” Well actually not only message, I add it to letters, blogs and so. No, I am not weird. Or maybe I am. But I think I am not being weird when I add these words to my message. Hehe. It just helps to make the message livelier and less serious. Hehe. And I am used to doing this. I feel happy doing this.
Forgot to mention! IT WAS MINUS 4 DEGREE CELSIUS LAST NIGHT! But there wasn’t any snow…
Anyway, it’s almost lunch time now. I will have to continue my revision after lunch… :)
